Tend to your well-being garden.

Create a time & space.

Initially, you need to consciously dedicate time to this project. It can be difficult and not familiar to you at all to dedicate time to improve your well-being, but it’s worth so much. Like with every new habit, after a short while it will become automatic, and at some point, it will become who you are.

Please do not get frustrated if you need to start from scratch. If you are coming from an environment where your basic needs were rarely met, where you learned that you are unimportant and invisible, you most probably kept carrying with you some harmful beliefs and habits into your adulthood. It’s ok. You can change it. I suggest you check in with your body first.

You see, tending to your well-being garden has to be authentic. Be honest with yourself and have a look at what’s your priority. Speaking in gardening terms 😉 check what’s the current climate and season, if there is an infestation going on, or if you overdid the pesticides which were meant to help you in the first place. What’s the soil condition, sun exposure, and how about the current pollution level…

Our gardens need a different type of care and you are a gardener who knows best. So do not compare yourself to others. This self-care I am advocating will not necessarily mean getting a gym membership or meditating & practicing yoga, even if the latter is my jam 😉 Sometimes you just need to start with necessary, maybe even radical changes. Your basics. What is it that you need to start with? What has been neglected for ages? Prioritize.

Is it planning, making, eating healthy regular meals, and drinking enough water?

Is it making sure you get enough sleep?

Is it stopping to damage your body with cigarettes, drugs, or alcohol?

Is it leaving your abusive partner?

Is it deciding to not stay in touch with a harmful family member?

Is it facing the fear that is holding you back?

Remember, to evolve you need to feel safe first. To grow you need to start continuously nourishing yourself. It’s time for you to bloom and not merely exist.

Be brave. It doesn’t matter where you are, you can always start from that point. Identify what you need to do to free yourself. If you are ready to look at yourself without any filters but a magnifying glass, if you feel like your time is now and you want to experience a change – have a Rapid Transformational Therapy session with me (RTT).

RTT is a great tool. Even one session can give you a lot of insight into the issue and present you with a mind shift and a solution.

Plant new supportive beliefs.

It all starts with the imagination. Sometimes it is difficult to look at the small, unimportant-looking seed and believe that with time and care it will turn into a magnificent tree. But the truth is that what you focus on you get more of. Just take a moment to imagine what it is that you truly want and identify which beliefs you should plant to get there.

Is it believing that you deserve to be happy?

Is it believing that you are worthy of love (including loving yourself fully)?

Is it believing that you are smart & talented enough to make it?

Is it believing that you matter, that you count?

Have a look at yourself and how you are now and see how far you have come. Again, it has to be authentic, as it will mean something different to anyone. Maybe to you it simply means being resilient enough to stay alive. Be grateful for whatever it is you achieved.

As for any beliefs that are still here but do no longer serve you, you have to make sure you do not water them anymore. They will eventually die down on their own. I know, it’s easier said than done, but it is so worth stopping putting attention on them. Having said that, trying to pretend they are not there, resisting them, and hiding from them will only keep you stuck in the same pattern. All you need to do with them is to be aware of them and accept their presence. Oftentimes those limiting beliefs are not even ours. They have been planted ages ago into our minds by someone else. Identify them.

Is it believing that someone like you could never achieve what you want?

Is it believing that being rejected in the past defines you forever?

Is it believing that you are not enough to have what you want?

Is it believing that you do not deserve respect?

Is it believing that you are different and you don’t belong anywhere?

If you feel like you cannot get rid of a certain belief that is stopping you, it’s maybe time for you to ask for external help. During the Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) session, we will look closer at the weeds in your garden and extract them, with their roots, as well as plant the new supporting beliefs. It usually takes only one RTT to deal with one issue and achieve permanent results.

Words matter, review your dictionary.

Another thing I enjoyed during the NHS flower show was the great names of some brands, some of them including gardening-related puns. I think it’s a brilliant way to emphasise that there is more to things than the eye can see and how we are all connected. “Mind, body and soil” and “BeeInspired” are great examples of branding with a message. Our subconscious mind “thinks” with exciting words and pictures.

How to tap into a more supportive vocabulary?

What are the words that you want to use to define your world?

How can you add into your language words that bring you joy and at the same time describe the real you?

I suggest you sit down and write a list of your favourite things ever and what kind of feeling you get when you write about them. Then check if what you put down is supporting you and if it’s in accordance with your values. Be honest. To make it easier you can split it into the most important areas of your life.

E.g. Is wine o’clock your favourite thing at the moment? Maybe you spend too much time with a bottle (or two) and a pack of cigarettes to complement it while your dream has always been to run a marathon. Look around, is your day revolving around drinking & smoking? Is your energy depleted? Then maybe it’s time to start becoming that person you want to be. Find the language that can support your new identity. How about telling yourself that your morning run is as necessary to you as a cup of coffee for others? Maybe finding a “sole mate” to run with you is also a good idea. Give yourself permission to use the words & pictures that keep you on the right track.

A vital part of your Rapid Transformational Therapy session is the custom-made recording for you to listen to for a minimum of 21 days. It’s your very own private guided meditation. The mind learns by repetition and wiring in new beneficial beliefs happens by using new exciting and powerful language. Contact me to book your online or offline session.
